About Us
The Santa Cruz British Motorcar exists to provide opportunities for local British sports car owners to get together and participate in events that include tours, rallies in our area, and local and out-of-area car meets and shows. The club is driven by the interest and enthusiasm of its members.
Leadership:
The club has no elected officers, no dues and no politics. The club functions with three volunteer coordinators chosen each year from the membership to lead the club. These coordinators hold the annual meeting, maintain the membership list, e-mail event notices, e-mail a report on each event, and maintain the membership list and website.
Membership:
Because there are no dues and no elected officers, each member should be willing to periodically volunteer as an event leader, or to assist other members in planning and running a tour, rally, or other event.
Anyone who owns a classic British sports car and lives in the Santa Cruz Co, Santa Clara Co, San Benito Co, and Monterey Co are invited to join. You can be placed on the membership e-mail list to learn of the activities. As long as you attend a few events each year and help out a little, your membership can stay active.
How to Join:
If you would like to visit the club for an event you are welcome to contact the club and advise us of your wish to attend an event. You will be advised of the time, place and other details. We want to increase and build interest in the preservation, restoration and enjoyment of classic British sports cars and we would enjoy getting to know every British car owner in the area.
In Addition:
While the “who we are” page offers a good overview of the club and guiding principals, additional documents via the menu pull-down are offered to give clarity and continuity as the club continues to move forward and grow. Documenting and organizing these important facets of the club will allow coordinators, members, new and future members to better be able to engage and communicate clearly.
